I had some thoughts and wrote them in a word processor. It would take way too long to format them to copy and paste into blogger, so I made a google document.
The idea is that even though sermons are not guaranteed to make us better disciples of Jesus, if they are listened to attentively, they afford us many opportunities. Most churches include sermons of varying quality in the worship service. If Christians start using sermons appropriately, we'll all be one step closer to fulfilling half of the great commission, "teaching them to do everything I commanded you." Then we just need to continue the quest to do so in all nations.
