A New Reformation

Reform-To improve by alteration, correction of error, or removal of defects; put into a better form or condition, To abolish abuse or malpractice in.

As wars and rumors or wars rage on, as the world seeks conformation from the children of God, as Satan seeks out those whom he may devour, and as our flesh tempts us to curse God we all do something astounding.......nothing. We Christians of the west do nothing. We commercialize our faith, selling Jesus candy, holy bible wrapping paper, purpose driven everything, probably soon we will have purpose driven burgers. And in the midst of all of this holiness is put on the back burner. We're concerned about gay marriage and our nation winning a war rather than the salvation of our brethren. Concerned with what my friend Steven of the Guitar calls the American definition of life: find a way to support yourself and your optional family, we blissfully ignore the battle around us, are for no particular reason other than laziness are lax in prayer, and we pursue the dream of a big house, a new car, and being the first to have "it", whatever "it" may be at the time. This can't, and won't last forever among the church it's our church, and not the world's. We're the called out ones, and I refuse to allow us to maintian the state of complacency without fighting for her myself, as our Lord fought for her 2000 years ago. The time has come for a reformation, a group of radicals be it 2 or 2,000,000 must be willing to sacrifice anything even their lives for the sake of the church, and the souls of those still in the world. Who will it be? You? The time has come for the tides to turn. Jesus turned the tables over, it's time for it to happen again. The time for the church to not be run like a business. A new paradigm must enter out heads, one of the desire of holiness or death. We can't settle for something else. Christ didn't, Paul didn't, the martyrs wouldn't, so then neither should we. This writing is horribly unorganized, and probably doesn't all fit together, but the time for a new reformation starting with the hearts of beleivers has to happen. I pray that today will be the start of a new reformation, starting in our hearts.
